Pinocchio Boards

FAQs & Product Insight

Why is my board slightly different than pictured?

Each board is unique! Some boards may feature knots and fissures and other natural characteristics.

What can/can't I use the board for?

Our boards can be used for cutting and serving most anything, though we don’t recommend cutting raw meat/fish on it.

Oh, and our boards can be used on both sides! Switch it up!

How do I care for this board?

Though the white oak we use is naturally anti-microbial, we recommend cleaning them occasionally.

To clean the board, simply brush it down with a little water and, if necessary, mild soap. Never soak a wood cutting board or put it through the dishwasher.

Each board comes oiled and ready to use. Depending on how often you use and wash it, you may want to re-oil it. We recommend oiling the boards a couple times a year with any food safe oil such as mineral oil.

I've damaged/stained my board, how can I bring the board back to life?

The boards are made from one piece of solid white oak - no veneers or glue used. So, if anything drastic happens to the board (such as a deep stain or gouge) you can always sand it down and re-oil. Viola! - brand new again.
